政府最近宣布将会在明年7月推出Digital ID，也就是电子身分！到底电子身份证是什么呢？以后是不是就不需要带IC或是驾照出门了？继续往下看你就明白啦！

数字身分的特点
数字身分是由微电子系统研究院（MIMOS）开发的系统，预计在明年7月1日开放让民众登记使用，主要是用来验证身分，用户的资料不会由系统储存，而是会储存在各个政府机构的数据库中。

数字身分就如同虚拟的大马卡，可以在线上使用，让用户在上网的时候更加地安全、迅速和方便。在民众登记数字身分之后，可以通过扫描数字身分即可登入政府统一官网，或者未来推行的政府超级手机应用程式，无需记着各种不同的密码

数字身分并没有储存用户生物特征资料（biometrics），如指纹等等，也不会收集用户的资料和网上行踪，更不会暴露个人资料，而且也不能取代大马卡成为身份证明。

简单来说，按照目前的概念，数字身分主要是用来进行各种网站的身分验证，降低网上身分被滥用的风险，让我们可以更安全、方便地使用各种网络服务。

数字身分主要功能

以下为暂定功能，实际功能仍需等待政府决定
* 统一登入以便使用政府服务，包括各个部门和机构，例如JPJ和移民局等
* 外籍人士申请签证、通行证和准证
* 私人医疗机构服务如药剂行、入院、居家看顾、护士中心
* 财务及电子商务如银行、网购和电子钱包
* 发放针对性津贴如汽油、煤气、家庭用品
* 医疗服务（预约看病）
* 交通与保险（电召车）
* 通讯服务（申请SIM卡）
